                                                                                  2010 Green Keepers Schedule

1.  Members are responsible for keeping the green one day a month, according to the schedule below.  It is the responsibility of the member, not the club, to make sure the green is covered that day.  If you are unable to be at the green on your day, you may either swap days with another member, or you may call someone on the substitute list.

2.  The most important duty is to show interested visitors how to play the game (the goal, the bowl, the delivery, etc.).  Normally this only takes a few minutes, and then you can leave them.  Most people prefer to play on their own once they understand the basics.

3.  If a group includes small children, offer them the option of playing on the practice green, which is just west of the green.  If you say, "You can bowl on the green if everyone is very careful, or you can bowl on the practice green and have it all to yourself," almost all parents of small children will choose the practice green.  This increases their fun while protecting the green.

4.  Set up a couple of rinks at the beginning of the afternoon, going north-south on odd days and east-west on even days.  The red and green markers are 2 feet apart, which makes it convenient to set up 16 foot rinks.  Set out a mat, a jack, and some bowls so it is clear that the green is ready for visitors.  Make sure all equipment is put away and locked at the end of the day.

5.  Since we promise that the green will be available from 3-6 p.m., please stay the full time.  If you think the green should be closed because of rain or lightening, inform the Concierge (220-7979) and the Tennis Center (220-7794).
